Hydrovac uses controlled water pressure to loosen soil while vacuum equipment collects the resulting slurry. It is commonly specified to expose buried infrastructure with less surface disturbance than mechanical excavation, but it still requires safe work procedures and accurate utility information.
Before a trench, bore, or repair, test holes can confirm the position, depth, and type of existing gas, electric, communications, water, and sewer lines. Share utility markings, anticipated depth, work limits, and the number of exposures needed.
